1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using the Studylo application and website located at studylo.app (the "Service"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Service.
Your continued use of the Service following any modifications to these Terms constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
2. About the Service
Studylo is a productivity and study-tracking application operated by Oleksandr Minzov ("we," "us," or "our"). The Service enables users to:
- Create and manage academic structures, including school years, semesters, and subjects;
- Set, track, and manage study goals;
- Log study sessions with associated metadata such as time, date, subject, notes, and study type;
- View personal statistics and analytics derived from study activity;
- Join study groups of up to eight (8) users and interact through leaderboards, activity feeds, and presence indicators.
3. Eligibility
The Service is intended for users aged sixteen (16) and older. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you are at least 16 years of age. If we become aware that a user is under 16, we will promptly terminate the account and delete all associated data.
4. User Accounts
To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information;
- Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate;
- Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials and not share them with any third party;
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account. We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorized use of your account.
5. User Content
You retain all ownership rights in the content you submit to the Service, including study sessions, notes, usernames, and avatars ("User Content").
By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to store, process, display, and transmit your User Content solely for the purposes of operating, maintaining, and improving the Service. This license terminates when you delete your User Content or your account, except where retention is required by law.
Content shared within study groups—including usernames, avatars, study activity, and notes—will be visible to other members of those groups. You acknowledge and consent to this visibility when joining a group.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Engage in any unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive activity;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, its systems, or other users' data;
- Upload, transmit, or share content that is harmful, abusive, obscene, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable;
- Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;
- Spam, harass, or repeatedly send unwanted messages through study group features;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through the introduction of viruses, malicious code, or denial-of-service attacks;
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the Service without our prior written consent;
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
We reserve the right to investigate and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination of your account, for any violation of these provisions.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, logos, visual identity, and all associated intellectual property, is owned by Oleksandr Minzov and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Service except for the limited right to use it in accordance with these Terms.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service, nor may you reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except as permitted by applicable law.
8. Service Availability and Modifications
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part thereof), temporarily or permanently, at any time and without prior notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
We may also update these Terms, the features available, or the technical requirements of the Service at our discretion. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email.
9. Fees and Payment
The Service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features, subscriptions, or other monetization in the future. Any such changes will be communicated to users in advance. Features that are free at the time of your registration may be modified or transitioned to paid tiers; continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance.
10. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature within the Service. Upon deletion, your personal data will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including, without limitation, intellectual property, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution) shall survive.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not guarantee any particular academic outcomes or improvements in performance resulting from use of the Service.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Oleksandr Minzov be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service.
Our total aggregate liability for all claims arising under or related to these Terms shall not exceed the amount, if any, you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
13. Dispute Resolution
In the event of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms, you agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by contacting us at support@studylo.app. We will endeavour to resolve the dispute within thirty (30) days of receipt of your notice.
If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Republic of Poland.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Where applicable, the provisions of European Union law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), shall apply.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms at any time by posting the updated version on the Service. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document will be revised accordingly. Your continued use of the Service after any such changes constitutes your binding acceptance of the revised Terms.
